Rocky - Automotive Sales Analytics Dashboard

Rocky - Automotive Sales Analytics Dashboard

Overview

Rocky's dashboard had to serve two very different readers on the same screen — someone scanning for overall market health, and someone tracking specific inventory. We solved that with a "zoom out to zoom in" layout: a top strip of company-wide pulse metrics (units sold, active regions, market demand index), then a revenue trend, then a category breakdown, then a regional map, then a SKU-level product table at the bottom. Each section narrows the focus, so the page reads like the actual decision path a dealer network manager takes — how's the market, what's winning, where, and which specific car — instead of dumping every metric at equal weight.

On a dark canvas, we used a single green-to-yellow gradient as the only real color signal, reserved specifically for "the number that matters right now" — the leading sales category, the standout bar in the revenue chart. Everything else stays monochrome with a diagonal hatch fill instead of flat gray, which keeps low-priority data textured and legible rather than looking empty or deprioritized. The regional map trades geographic precision for a simple dotted, pin-based style — right call for a glanceable "where are we strong" read rather than a literal atlas. And keeping the granular product table (stock status, transmission, price) one scroll below the strategic charts means the dashboard works for a regional strategist and someone managing day-to-day inventory without needing two separate tools.

Full Preview

A B2B analytics dashboard fails the moment someone can't tell what to look at first. Rocky's hierarchy — company pulse, then trend, then category, then geography, then SKU — was built so the page functions as a decision path, not just a wall of charts.
